Changes to Membership Fees from April

Dear all Affinity and Sapphire members.

Hope you and your families are well and enjoying the turn of seasons into spring. With that, brings us unfortunately to one of the less welcomed aspects of running an organisation, and that is our annual fee increases.

You’ll be aware our new labour government have introduced substantial changes to national insurance, wage rates and business rates that affect organisations such as ours greatly.

However, I am pleased that despite this, we are able to keep increases in our fees to only around 3.5%, in line with the expected rate of inflation for 2025. This is only an additional £1-2 maximum per month, depending on the membership category. We believe this is a fair and balanced adjustment to ensure we continue delivering high quality classes and training sessions.

These changes will take place for April’s fees, which are collected from 18th March.

The new monthly fee rates are below, along with a few FAQs.

Thank you for your understanding and support – it allows us to continue creating a positive environment for all our members.

Many thanks

Jennifer Page – Affinity Founder and Club Owner

FAQs

In a good year with no major new curveballs – once, annually. Which we’re at at this time (well, technically it’s 11 months but we were a month late implementing last year).

It’s advised in our T&C’s that pricing is to be reviewed each year for summer term so it’s no secret. Yes, ideally we would keep pricing changes in line with academic year and season based changes (and we have done this previously). However, the unsettled financial climate and government changes over the past two years has created the need for us to implement a change earlier.

In a nutshell, no. The changes are greater than we can successfully absorb and continue to run great classes for you now and into the future. It isn’t a decision that’s been taken lightly to ask you for more money and be assured it’s alongside careful budgeting of expenses and intentions for growth. So if you’ve anyone who might like to join us, please send them our way.
